Are you ready for a CHANGE?

Hello people, what’s going on in your life? If you are anything like me than you are always looking for a change in your life. But for a variety of reasons, mainly known as PROCRASTINATION, that Change never happens. So, recently I decided to stop the evil “P” word and made a conscious decision to improve and become the change I wish to see!

For starters, I suggest that you make a list of things that you are unhappy with and post it somewhere. In your room, at your desk anywhere you can see it. Writing things down for me always helps me put things in perspective. It takes it from within and brings it to the forefront. Then as you look at these things everyday, start to write a plan for how you are going to change these things/issues.

Look for and make small progress. Test yourself out. Maybe you want to stop smoking. Well, try it for a day and enjoy the progress you make. Celebrate the little strides and they will become a major movement.

How many of you want  to change your eating habits?  Well, like Nike said, “Just do it!” Also remember ROME WASNT BUILT IN A DAY. I have to constantly remind myself that everything that I want in life will not just happen. It takes hardwork, determination and a plan.

This is a page from the student newsletter I created at Sojourn High School in Newark NJ biggest detention center. If I have learned nothing else from working here, Ive learned that there must be a place where the kids, the children, the future can be heard!

Notorious, The B.I.G. Biopic hit theatres this past weekend and smashed the box office grossing over 21.5 million! For me, the movie took me back to my teenage days. I remember performing, “BIG POPPA”  for 1994′s homecoming pageant at Clifford J. Scott and also preforming “Cant You See.” We rocked it! I had on my all cream and my white Kangol and three of the finest girls in my class singing Total’s part. Those were te days…..

When I watched the movie, I still wanted more! YES, it was good but I wanted more. Maybe cause he was my favorite rapper. Oh and how about a BIG shout out for two girls from East Orange, getting the roles of Lil Kim and Faith. Oh and Naturi……….WOW, thats all I gotta say. Get em gurl..lol

This past summer I had the chance to attend the American Black Film Festival in Los Angeles, California. The festival was created by Newark, N.J.’s Jeff Friday and is a platform for independent filmmakers to submit their films as well as take part in workshops, film screenings and a host of parties.

In 2008, the company known as Everyday Productions llc., entered the independent documentary film, Break The Silence Before it Breaks You! Make The Write Decision. With the support of the teachers and staff at my job, Sojourn High School, I recieved a paid for plane ticket to HOLLYWOOD!

With film in hand I networked and used my FLIPvideo camera to record this video. It was a great experiance that I thank each and everyone who helped in that effort! Thank you to all my family who sponsored money and support also. Check out the video and comment!

Aww man, I had a blast playing this role! Seeing though it was a play, on a Sunday in a church I could say, “Can I get a amen?” And just like clockwork the audience would say Amen. This was fun. Check the clip out. Oh and I mostly freestyled the script.
